We open a new section: “videopoem of the week”!. Here we will publish and comment a videopoem each week. We pick for you the best works of the videopoets who are part of Versogramas, and a selection of the most interesting videos from national and international videopoetry scale.
We start with “After Dark”, by Dandylady about Branca Novoneyra’s same title poem. With vintage film aesthetics, the videopoem explores the contradictions between reality, pose and appearances. A couple interacts with fake movements and a painstaking care in reproducing the invisibility that surrounds them with invisibility itself. Without any traces of a complicity which dried up in memories, long ago. Only beneath the ocean can they be themselves. Under the water, they are free.
